The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), an entity attached to the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, published a report on Spanish patents in renewable energies between 2010 and 2012. The document highlights the “spectacular” evolution recorded, with solar energy standing out above all others, accounting for 43.6% of all patents at the European level.
