Successful bidders in the world’s largest renewable energy tender, held in Mexico

Photoemeris Sustentable, one of the projects presented by Alter Enersun was the winner, along with 17 other projects, in the first long-term electricity auction of the government of Mexico, organized by the National Center for Energy Control (CENACE) of Mexico.

The main leading companies in the sector have applied for the tender.

73% of the award are solar energy projects, while the rest are wind farms. This result consolidates photovoltaic technology as the most competitive renewable source at the moment.

The project is located in the State of Yucatan and the expected production is 58.6 GWh per year. The connection of the plant to the grid is scheduled for October 2017.

Alter Enersun has been working in Mexico for several years, maintaining its goal of being a benchmark in the production of photovoltaic solar energy.
