The Constitutional Court annuls the veto on shared self-consumption

The Constitutional Court has accepted the claim of the Generalitat of Catalonia to allow collective self-consumption. The decision annuls the section of Royal Decree 900/2015 that prohibited “generators from being connected to the internal network of several consumers”.

In this way, by suspending this prohibition, the door is opened to the implementation of common self-consumption facilities in housing estates or community buildings, also contributing to a change towards a sustainable and independent energy model.
